About Graythorp Energy
Graythorp Energy Limited is a company created specifically for the new Energy Centre south of Hartlepool. The company’s headquarters are on the Isle of Wight, with a team led by Ray Tucker, MD of ‘Optimass Ltd’, managing the project from there and locally in Yorkshire.
The Optimass team has several years of experience in the field of medium scale (up to 50MW) energy production plants. The planning application for the Graythorp Energy Centre is the fourth project of this scale (of electrical output), with the previous 3 all successfully gaining full planning consent.
The consultants employed for the Graythorp project include:
Axis PED of Wilmslow, Cheshire, led by Nick Roberts, are providing Graythorp Energy with expert planning and environmental services. Involved with a number of similar projects already constructed, Axis have assisted at Graythorp throughout the project development process.
Parkshot Communications of Richmond-upon-Thames in Surrey, led by John Coates, have been using their expertise in media and public relations to ensure that Graythorp Energy communicates its project plans as effectively as possible to the local community.
HPW Architects, from near Southampton in Hampshire, led by Gary Wilburn, are providing the project drawings and visual interpretations for the planning application and the public consultation exercise.
